Welcome Aidan Ward

Please help us welcome a new member of the Watershed Classroom team! Aidan Ward helps lead WC orientations, assists with field trips to the David Yearsley River Heritage Center, and works with children at FOPR nature camps. Here is Aidan in his own words:

I am Aidan Ward, a native Petaluman who is excited to be joining Friends of the Petaluma River! After graduating from UC Santa Cruz in 2012 with a B.S. in Health Sciences, I have been charting a course toward outdoor education and hands-on science-based learning for children and adults of all ages. I have long studied the riparian areas of the Petaluma River watershed, and I am grateful and excited to share my knowledge and learn in the process. I look forward to nourishing a spirit of community stewardship and lifelong learning as an instructor with Watershed Classroom.

Watershed Classroom supports the implementation of exceptionally engaging curriculum about the Petaluma River and Watershed to educate youth in Petaluma about their place in our environment, how their decisions and actions affect their environment and inspire youth to conserve and celebrate the Petaluma Watershed.
