Project Summary: In this project students will investigate the interactions of humans and the Petaluma River watershed ecosystem.  Students will identify specific ways human activity impacts the health of the ecosystem when they conduct observations and field research to investigate the question “Is the Petaluma River Ecosystem Healthy? After identifying human impacts on the ecosystem they will decide on an action that could help sustain or improve the health of the ecosystem. Throughout this project students will analyze and interpret data, evaluate and communicate information, and use evidence from research to creating a public service announcement that will help reduce negative impacts of human activities on the environment and biodiversity.
